There are a wide variety of techniques shared with you across this website, including links to audio intended to induce states of deep relaxation and suggestibility.
Hypnosis and meditation are scientifically well-researched, safe, and deeply relaxing processes in which you temporarily enter a trance-like state of heightened awareness. You naturally experience trance-like states during everyday life while you’re daydreaming; during meditation or creative visualisation; when you’re falling asleep or arising up from slumber; when you’re driving and lose track of where you are or how you arrived; when you’re reading an interesting book or watching an engaging movie. When entering a slower brainwave or “trance” state while listening to hypnotic audio, you will remain in complete control and able to return to full alertness whenever you choose easily.
Only listen to hypnotic audio when it is safe for you to do so. Refrain from listening while operating machinery, driving a vehicle, or when your full attention is required for another task or activity. When you fall asleep while listening to hypnotic audio your mind may become less receptive to the suggestions offered as you drift deeper into slumber, entering into increasingly slower brainwave states. However, most of the audio accompanying this book is of relatively short duration. You may choose to listen anytime during the day or night that is convenient for you. Regularly listening to the hypnotic audios available on this website will assist you to recondition your mind to new ways of thinking that will empower you to achieve your goals. Your mind learns by repetition, therefore, listen to your favourite hypnotic audio daily for a minimum of 21 days.
People with epilepsy are generally advised not to enter hypnosis, nor is anyone diagnosed with a psychotic illness. If you have any concerns about being hypnotised, you may choose to listen to hypnotic audio without following the hypnotic induction at the beginning of each audio. That is, not rolling your eyes or picturing yourself descending a staircase. Instead, you may choose to simply allow your body to gently relax, with eyes open or shut, whichever feels most comfortable or to simply skip the first few minutes of the audio.
The information, techniques, methods, and recommendations given by Sophia Marie Lightfoot are not intended to substitute for the diagnosis and care of a qualified physician or GP, nor to encourage the treatment of any illness by persons not recognisably qualified. If you use hypnosis and are under medical care for ANY condition, do NOT make adjustments to ANY professionally prescribed medication without the approval of your doctor. If in doubt, seek the advice of a medical doctor or another qualified healthcare professional.
